AdU is definitely a rising star in the UAAP season 75 women's volleyball after dominating the 5-set game against the ADMU Lady Eagles bringing home the victory with 25-21, 25-22, 19-25, 16-25, 15-10 scores last Sunday at the San Juan Arena. The Lady Falcons now improved their records to 5-3, while ADMU step down to 6-2.
The first set was controlled by the Lady Eagles before a time out was called by the Lady Falcons. Coach Sherwin Meneses advised the girls to take the game step by step and focus to the current situation.
Despite Valdez's 35-point hits, ADMU still fall short from Pineda, Zapata and Soriano's back-to-back-to-back attacks and defenses. Pineda, the best player of the game, contributed 19 points while Zapata and Pineda sealed 15 and 14 points consecutively.
For the team, this is a big win and will surely boost their confidence as they are now closer to the 2nd rank. "The floor defense is already there, but we still have to work on our blocking." Coach Meneses said.
