ADMU Lady Eagles' impressive come back thrashing NU Lady Bulldogs

Photo C/O Arnold Z. Cruz

The arena was delighted by Fille Cainglet's comeback after missing two games because of an ankle injury. It can be recalled that Cainglet had this injury during the 4th set of the game against their biggest rival, DLSU Lady Spikers last January 12 at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan. Since then, it became a downhill for the Lady Eagles having three losses in a row.

Cainglet has stopped this curse in her return during their game against NU Lady Bulldogs, sealing a 3 set straight win for the the Lady Eagles with scores of 25-20, 25-21, 27-25.

First set was a tight game. Santiago poured powerful attacks on the ADMU's floor. Gervacio catched up with blocks and attacks. Reception by ADMU has been good. Ferrer kept the ball surely for Ho and Valdez. The Lady Eagles continued to dominate ending the first set at 25-20.

Coach Roger wanted the ball away from the setter and Santiago.

SECOND SET
Gervacio threw 2 service aces on the early second set. Valdez attempted to attack, but blocked by Napomuceno. Santiago kept on throwing unstoppable attacks, leading to a 5-point lead by NU. Gervacio did not let it go further by scoring an attack. Cainglet also scored from an attack.

Both teams were keeping the game tight. Santiago committed a service error. A quick hit by Ho tied the scores to 12-12.

Valdez again tried a quick hit, but denied by Santiago. Good reception by ADMU giving Valdez another chance. She went for a drop ball and outsmarted the towering blockers of NU. ADMU grabbed the second set with 25-21.

THIRD SET
A must-win set for the Lady Bulldogs this time. Cainglet secured another point in the early third set. Santiago recovered by another powerful hit. Valdez returned the favor by a powerful attack, escaping the block of Santiago.

Cainglet delivered the ball perfectly, NU struggled by a poor reception. Ho delivered, but quickly attacked by Pablo. Napomuceno found a chance and set the ball on the back row.

Valdez went for another drop shot and scored. This was paid off by Santiago with a running attack,  was saved, but Urdas went for a drop shot.

Valdez recovered by another drop and Gervacio also scored with an attack coming from the back row.

Urdas stepped up to tie the score to 12-12.

Both teams worked hard in their defenses and offenses, the long rally was ended by an error of NU. Urdas, keeping the scores narrow to 22-24, went for an attack down the line.

Feeling the intense pressure, ADMU and NU committed consecutive errors, leaving the scores tied up to 25-25.

Cainglet confidently dropped a ball that surpirses NU. ADMU Lady Eagles finally sealed the game to 27-25 scores.

SECOND SET
Coach Meneses wanted a more aggressive players and reduced errors of the team.

Surprisingly, Bulan throws 3 good serves, scoring easily via service aces. Coach Meneses was apparently disappointed by the misjudgment of the players.

DLSU Lady Spikers sweet revenge against UST Tigresses

Photo C/O: Mark Cristino

Revenge is what DLSU Lady Spikers are waiting for after the UST Tigresses puts an only defeat in their records during the first meeting last December 2.

This time, it was the Lady Spikers who dominated the game with a straight set win against the Tigresses making 30-28, 25-15, 25-17 scores in the UAAP season 75 last January 26 at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.

FIRST SET
Galang secured the first two points, but quickly recovered by Ortiz. Tied up on 4-4 score in the late  3rd minute.

Team captain Cabalejo sent a good attack, too quick for the La Salle to save. Gumabao came with fast recover. The Lady Spikers continue to attack making a 6-point lead. UST committed consecutive costly errors making DLSU to advance in a 20-14 score.

Lantin secured 4 service aces for UST. Tunay gave a good middle attack sealing a tie in 22-22 score.

Tunay continued to hit hard advancing to 23 points. Galang returned the favor. First set was extended. Cabalejo tried to step up and go for fast attacks. The blocks of DLSU continued to work well making 3 set points in the first set of the game. DLSU held strong sealing 30-28 score.

SECOND SET
No place of errors this time for both teams. DLSU advanced to a 5-point lead. Galang found a way to nail the ball. UST apparently did not anticipate that move. The Lady Spikers played a more controlled and aggressive game in the second set.

Cabalejo and Ortiz's attacks did not escape the towering blockers of DLSU, Mika Reyes, Michelle Gumabao and Abigail Marano. With a solid block from Fajardo, DLSU advanced to a set point. Gumabao hit a good attack, ending the second set in 25-15.

THIRD SET
A must-win set for the Lady Tigresses. The team advanced to 4-point lead from DLSU. Galang stopped the momentum by an impressive attack on the back court. Gumabao anticipated the attack of UP with a solid block adding a point for DLSU. Cabalejo and Tunay were steady with their attacks, but blocks continued to work well for DLSU and score tied up again to 13-13. Galang continue hitting the ball hard giving UST a difficult time to save. Tiu finished it from the back line.

Ara Galang dominated with 20 points for this match.

FEU Lady Tams' advance to 6-4 records after beating UP Fighting Maroons

Photo C/O Mark Cristino; Pinoy Exchange

The FEU Lady Tamaraws improved their records to 6-4 after beating UP Fighting Maroons in straight sets making 25-8, 25-12, 25-12 scores in the UAAP season 75 last Saturday at the FilOil Flying V Arena, San Juan.

FIRST SET
FEU fist to serve, scored quickly by an error committed by UP. Lady Tams' continued to deliver the ball and earned by a solid block coming from Palma on the 50th second of the game. UP responded the attack by a block from Bersola.

A time out was called by UP in the late 4th minute of the game. The players were reminded to move naturally on the court as they commit more errors when they feel the intense pressure. Communicate with the blockers and be ready to cover. Go on the game and play what was planned.

The floor defense got better although Tiamzon delivered the ball too long on the FEU's side.

Basas continued to strike down the line giving points to the team. Magtulas answered it earning another point for UP, but Basas came back fast. Basas continued to earn from 2 consecutive service aces for FEU. First set ended on the 19th minute vastly dominated by FEU with 25-8 score.

SECOND SET
Coach Santos reminded the players not to be stiff and take the ball surely. Continue receiving and go directly for the attack. If the opponent received it well, be ready to block with supporting coverage.

An early second set error committed by Ong, but recovered with a good coverage nailing a point for UP. Basas continued to pour hard strikes. Sy received well for FEU and earned points from blocks and off the speed attacks.

On the other hand, Vargas secured two consecutive service aces, while UP still having poor reception making it hard for the team to recover. Second set dominated again by FEU at 25-12 score ending it on the early 43rd minute of the game.

THIRD SET
Good rally on the third set and an error by the FEU glued UP their first point. Roxas surprisingly attacked from the back row, no time for the UP to catch up.

UP quickly recovered by the middle attack of Bersola. Taking the ball to the center and setting it for Bersola or Ong in the middle attack gives the UP Fighting Maroons a greater chance to score in the game. Mangulaban gave a good attack for UP. Better decisions coming from the team shows up as they try to be more relaxed on the court.

Vargas won't let the game go further as she hit aggressive attacks. Third set well ended for the Lady Tams' on the early 1st hour leaving a 25-12 score.

Gyzelle Sy secured dominant points for the FEU team.

Sir Chief serenades Maya in "Be Careful with my Heart"

Richard Yap famously known as "Sir Chief or Ricardo Lim" caught the viewers breathless as he serenades Maya, played by Jodi Sta Maria, in one of their episodes in  "Be Careful with my Heart" aired last January 24.

Serenading or Harana is a famous Filipino way of catching a woman's heart. As the guitar strums, Sir Chief sang "Sorry na, Pwede ba?" which is an original song of Parokya ni Edgar. The episode was a part of their new year celebration. But for Sir Chief and Maya, the song was meant to send a message that only the two of them understands. The serenade allures Maya and it seems it is the best serenade she ever heard.
Their story started when the heart-broken and stiff boss met the cheerful Maya. He hired Maya as Abby's, his youngest daughter played by Mutya Orquia, nanny in exchange of a scholarship. Maya grabbed this because she knows the influence of Ricardo in the Airline Industry and this is a chance for her to fulfill a long time dream, to become a flight stewardess  As Maya entered to the Lim family, she finds her self being in love with the children and so with Ricardo.
Watch out for the next happenings in "Be Careful with my Heart" on ABS CBN, Monday to Friday, 11:30 in the morning.

Taking a break from a dizzy roller-coaster relationship

"It might be better to end it up. But there is nothing wrong in giving a try if you see a space for change."

Are you on a roller coaster relationship? You are burned out, but not sure if you're ready to give up? Having second thoughts of letting go a long time relationship is just normal. Of course you'll have hesitations. His family knows you and your family knows him (and they even came to a point of expecting you both to end up together).

When things become rough all over again and you've been fighting on the same thing for years now, it is not bad to take a break and ask for you both to talk later on. You can follow these steps to make you feel a little lighter.

1. Keep calm and Clean up! If you're in a not-so-easy situation like this, you might have been lying on that bed since history started. With your messy room plus your messy hair and not to mention, smelly self, you might be distinguished as a cave person living in a cave-like room. Get up and start cleaning your room and yourself for Pete's sake! Forget those lazy days. Give your self a treat, by having a new haircut and SPA. Having a good environment, can create a positive mood.

2. Forget your guilty pleasures and eat sweets! Science has already proven that eating sweets can tune up your mood. There are also mood boosters that are low in sugar but can have the same effect in your mood. You can try oat meals, walnut, and blueberries. Eat without feeling guilty!

3. Keep off from the social media and don't contact him. You don't want to throw words without thinking and read his anger-provoking posts, so turn off that WiFi and keep off those little fingers from logging in your accounts. Otherwise, you might end up being a hot gossip topic in a huge town called social media. Don't contact him. Ignore his texts and calls for a while, lets say 1 week and if you pass that, you can make it 2 weeks. This is a classic way of making him wonder what you have been doing and a space for him to think about you. I know you see a dirty game in that, don't you?

4. Keep your self busy. Stay away from those negative thoughts by  keeping your self busy. Make this a chance for you to do better in your career. Go out and play your favorite sports. It's not only an escape, but will make you firm and better  looking. Do things you've been longing to do. If you can afford to take a vacation in a remote place, why not! Its your chance to feel your old self and rebuild your bonds with the other persons in your life. Or how about trying a new things? Say, blogging. It's another perfect way of expressing your self.

5. Hang out with your Bffs. Now you see the importance of keeping your self surrounded by friends. During the time that you are deeply- highly-madly-crazily-in-love, you might tend to keep that person to be the only one in your world. Remember that old proverbs, "No man is an island". So keep that bond you have with your friends. Invite them for a date or sleep over. For many, friends are the people they are most comfortable speaking about this matter. You can ask them about their thoughts. They might sometimes sound crazy, but you know they only want the best for you.

After having an enough "me time", go back to the problem. If you realized that you're happier with your life, it might be as well better to put an end to that roller coaster ride. Expert says that the level of arguments usually remains all throughout the relationship. This means that, if you both are usually fighting over a serious matter, like cheating, or maybe an uncontrollable temper over small issues, there is a big possibility that you will fight on the same level of conflict again.  And if you see place for a chance, there is nothing wrong in giving a try for the last time. Just for the very last time.

Do you want to tell us anything about your relationship? You can message us or post in our official  facebook page, Egzoited

AdU Lady Falcons take over ADMU Lady Eagles on 2nd Match

AdU is definitely a rising star in the UAAP season 75 women's volleyball after dominating the 5-set game against the ADMU Lady Eagles bringing home the victory with 25-21, 25-22, 19-25, 16-25, 15-10 scores last Sunday at the San Juan Arena. The Lady Falcons now improved their records to 5-3, while ADMU step down to 6-2.

The first set was controlled by the Lady Eagles before a time out was called by the Lady Falcons. Coach Sherwin Meneses advised the girls to take the game step by step and focus to the current situation.

Despite Valdez's 35-point hits, ADMU still fall short from Pineda, Zapata and Soriano's back-to-back-to-back attacks and defenses. Pineda, the best player of the game, contributed 19 points while Zapata and Pineda sealed 15 and 14 points consecutively.

For the team, this is a big win and will surely boost their confidence as they are now closer to the 2nd rank. "The floor defense is already there, but we still have to work on our blocking." Coach Meneses said.

Showbiz couple Cesar and Sunshine Montano on the rock

Sunshine Cruz-Montano is taking her dismay over husband, Cesar on the social media. Rumors are circulating that the couple separated because of an alleged affair of Cesar to a starlet named Krista Miller.

The actress reportedly revealed that Cesar gave the A&F shirt, Ferrero Rocher chocolates and an iPhone 5 which were originally bought for Cesar.
”I bought that shirt, and it is a guy’s shirt for heaven’s sake! The chocolate is from my [sister]-in-law and that is my iPhone 5. [Hindi] mo na dapat pinagmalaki sa social networking,” she said on Instagram.

Sunshine posted on her twitter account asking Krista to return the phone.
" I am sorry dear friends and family. I have been quiet but when the kids are affected unfair na yun." The actress reportedly stated.

Krista was reportedly sending sexy pictures and messages to the actor. On the other hand, Krista tweeted that her actions were misinterpreted.

Reports said Sunshine has already sought legal actions. The couples were married for 12 years now.
