Malaysia sweeps off Laos with a 4-1 final score in the Suzuki Cup held at Bukit Jalil Bational Stadium, Malaysia.
They took the lead on the 15th minute after Safiq Rahim scored with a trademark freekick. Laos ended the momentum after netting a goal on the next 9th minute by Khonesavanh Sihavong. First half ended in a 1-1 score.
Malaysia reclaimed the lead when Safee Sali kick for a goal in the near range on the second half. Loas was not able to recover as Malaysia continue to dominate. Kunalan deliver a nodded home from the left on the 76th minute. Completely deflated, Laos was left by a final 4-1 score when Khyril Muhaimin kicks a home from a close range.
The victory leads the team into their final group face off against Indonesia. A win would guarantee them a place in the semi-finals.
